5 Signs of Low Transmission Fluid

Transmission Fluid

Transmission problems are very common, especially low transmission fluid. It is important to know the sign of low transmission fluid to prevent problems from getting worse. Low transmission fluid can cause some serious damage if it is left unaddressed. Here are 5 signs of low transmission fluid:
1. Leaking Transmission Fluid Obliviously, if your transmission fluid is leaking then it means that transmission fluid is low. Transmission fluid is enclosed in the transmission and should not be leaking out. Without the proper amount of transmission fluid in the system, major problems can occur.
2. Overheating Transmission An overheating vehicle is not okay. This is a sign that your vehicle has an issue. If a transmission gets too hot is could fail. Typically, an overheating transmission can mean that you have an inadequate amount of transmission fluid. Overheating transmission is dangerous.
3. Slipping Transmission Do you feel your transmission slipping? This is a result of the vehicle failing to respond while the engine increases speed. This is a common symptom of low transmission fluid that should be addressed as you notice slipping.
4. Difficulty Shifting Gears When it is difficult for you to shift gears, you have a sign of a transmission problem. This is another very common symptom of a transmission issue. If a vehicle is having an issue with accelerating it can be caused by low transmission fluid. Delayed acceleration can indicate a failing transmission and must be inspected and diagnosed by a transmission tech.
5. Noisy Transmission When a transmission is making usual noises, such as grinding, pounding, or clunking, it is a huge sign that something is not right. Get your vehicle checked out before transmission failure.
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, we recommend you don’t delay and get your vehicle inspected as soon as you can. Transmission should never be avoided if you are trying to avoid an expensive transmission repair or replacement.
